“Infertility affects 1 in 8 women, and miscarriage affects 1 in 4, yet most are forced to navigate the aftermath alone and suffer in silence.”
I wrote these pieces because reproductive grief is so often shrouded in silence, and I wanted to map the visceral, real-time reality of sterile clinics, unmarked milestones, and the quiet grit it takes to survive them.
My hope for this collection is that it can help chip away at the heavy stigma that leaves so many of us isolated. Infertility affects 1 in 8 women, and miscarriage affects 1 in 4, yet most are forced to navigate the aftermath alone and suffer in silence. I want women to read these poems and know that they are not alone, and they don’t have to carry it all by themselves. Our pain doesn’t have to be tucked away or kept in the dark. We heal by talking about it, and by finding our strength together.
